Recognizing that it is through the parents/guardians that a child’s faith, spirituality and commitment to faith is formed, the role of St. Patrick’s Religious Education Program is designed to enhance the foundation that you as parents/guardians are already giving to your children.
Religious Education is the presentation of the doctrine and tradition of our Catholic faith. Our goal in Religious Education is to teach as Jesus taught.
Jesus is at the heart of all Religious Education and we aspire to help children establish a personal and loving relationship with Jesus. We are here to help you and your family grow in your faith.
We strive to meet the needs of all children in our parish. If a child has special needs or limitations we will meet with the parent/guardian to find ways to try to accomodate hte child as best possible. St. Patrick's serves as a regional Religious Education center offering an exciting program for children with special needs. We offer classes for pre-school (3 and 4 year olds) through eighth grade and a two year Confirmation program for high school students. Children receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in the second grade of the Religious Education program. In addition, for children that have not been baptized and/or received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, we offer Special Sacrament classes.
